Nicola Roberts launches her solo career with the release of her debut album this summer. “The album has a very British sound, that was important to me,” explains Nicola. “I co-wrote all of the songs on the record. The stories I tell in the album are things that have happened to me and life in general. Some are happy, some songs are a little cheeky and one song is sad.”

Since joining the world of social networking on May 6, Nicola Roberts has amassed an astonishing 30,233 followers on Twitter (over 22,000 in her first 3 days!) and 11,417 Facebook fans. Teaser clips of her new video and footage of her recording her album have also been wildly popular with the first episode of ‘Through Nicola’s Eyes’ fast approaching 100,000 views (over 70,000 views in the first 3 days!). ‘Beat Of My Drum’ has also received an incredibly positive response from music critiques, with high praise from the likes of the NME as well as a five-star review from the highly influential Heat Magazine.
