She took home the prestigious title of BBC Sound of 2018 and her debut album is just weeks away from release, and we just can’t wait to see what she what else she has to offer. We sat down for a few minutes with her for a few minutes to talk about Electric Picnic, Sucker Punch, and even video games. Check it out!

What was it like playing to 13,000 people at Electric Picnic?

Wow, that was insane. It’s probably one of the biggest highlights of my life, I think. One of the best days I’ve ever had, it was incredible. It was such an honour and some people may remember that I cried a lot. It was great, I didn’t want to leave…so hopefully we can come back.

What was it like winning the BBC Sound of 2018?

When it comes to the Sound of ‘18, I never thought that was going to happen. I never thought that was going to happen. It was a huge honour for me and my team, such a big win for us.
