Every song brought a powerful weight to the story, infusing a fresh spin on a Disney princess film. \u201cDo You Want to Build a Snowman,\u201d for example, is reminiscent of songs like \u201cOne Jump Ahead\u201d from <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aladdin<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and \u201cBonjour\u201d from <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beauty and the Beast<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. By weaving dialogue and song together, the story feels a lot like the classic movies that have become important mainstays of pop culture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cLet It Go,\u201d the movie\u2019s crowning glory performed by Idina Menzel, is arguably one of the most impactful soundtrack songs of the decade. It won an Academy Award for Best Original Song, a Grammy for Best Song Written For Visual Media, and sold 10.9 million copies in 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"video","video_platform":"youtube","video":"L0MK7qz13bU","facebook_video":"","video_caption":""},{"acf_fc_layout":"copy","copy":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With accolades like that <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Frozen II,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> had big shoes to fill.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While the sequel didn\u2019t produce any smash hits like \u201cLet It Go,\u201d the soundtrack is strong and consistent with powerful performances by every one of its many collaborators. It features seven new songs composed by husband and wife team Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, along with a reprise of \u201cReindeer(s) Are Better Than People,\u201d from the original film.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The music draws heavy influence from the nordic setting of the film. Cristophe Beck, who scored the film, infused Norwegian elements throughout the score and invited Norwegian female choir Cantus, with Beck stating that it gives the score a &#8220;magical&#8221; setting while still being rooted in tradition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel returned for the sequel with impressive performances, and Evan Rachel Wood joined the cast as Queen Iduna. Menzel and Norwegian artist Aurora collaborated on \u201cInto The Unknown,\u201d which racked up a nomination at both the Golden Globes and the Critic\u2019s Choice Movie Awards. Panic!
