Universal Music Ireland and RT\u00c9 2FM are very proud to announce this October the release of SALVATION, <\/strong>a 13 \u2013 track collection of covers inspired by The Cranberries<\/strong> and performed by the best of contemporary Irish artists.<\/p>\n

The charity album is preceded by the single \u2018When You\u2019re Gone\u2019 <\/strong>taken from The Cranberries 3rd<\/sup> studio album \u2018To the Faithful Departed<\/em>\u2019 and performed by Dublin band Pillow Queens.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SALVATION \u2013 <\/strong>inspired by The Cranberries<\/strong> is set for release October 1st, <\/sup>2021 in aid of Pieta, the charity was founded in Dublin in 2006, and ensures that help is available to those in suicidal crisis.<\/p>\n

This collection of recordings features selected tracks from The Cranberries first five studio<\/strong> albums: \u2018Everybody Else is Doing It, So Why Can\u2019t We?\u2019, \u2018No Need To Argue\u2019, \u2018To The Faithful Departed\u2019, \u2018Bury The Hatchet\u2019, and \u2018Wake Up and Smell the Coffee\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/em>They are covered by the very best of contemporary Irish artists including rising star Moncrieff <\/strong>with his cover of \u2018Free to Decide\u2019, Sinead O\u2019Connor <\/strong>performing \u2018No Need to Argue\u2019, Wyvern Lingo <\/strong>with \u2018Salvation\u2019<\/strong> plus many more.<\/p>\n

SALVATION<\/strong> – inspired by The Cranberries <\/strong>will be available on CD, download, all streaming platforms & Limited-Edition vinyl from October 1st, <\/sup>2021.<\/p>\n

Money from the Irish sales of SALVATION record by The Cranberries will help fund Pieta.<\/p>\n

Hailing from Dublin, Pillow Queens have had quite a year, since it\u2019s release last September their critically acclaimed debut album \u2018In Waiting\u2019<\/strong> has been called \u201cAn Emotional Masterpiece\u201d by the Irish Times; has seen them been championed by radio stations across the globe and nominated for this year\u2019s RT\u00c9 Choice Music Prize album of the year. About Pieta:<\/em><\/p>\n

Pieta was founded in Dublin in 2006. It was established to provide free, accessible one-to-one counselling to people suffering from suicidal ideation, engaging in self-harm or to those bereaved by suicide. With over 200 qualified therapists and support staff across <\/em>20 centres<\/em><\/a>, Pieta ensures that help is available to those in suicidal crisis.<\/em><\/p>\n

Darkness Into Light is organised by Pieta and proudly supported by Electric Ireland since 2013. It is a global movement dedicated to ending suicide and supporting those who engage in self-harm. By taking part in Darkness Into Light, participants play an important role in removing the stigma around suicide and self-harm as well as raising vital funds to fight suicide.<\/em><\/p>\n
