GRAMMY\u00ae Award-winning and chart-topping artist\u00a0Billie Eilish<\/strong>\u00a0will make her\u00a0Disney+<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>debut with “Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles,”<\/strong>\u00a0a cinematic concert experience, premiering globally on\u00a0Friday, September 3<\/strong>. Fresh off the heels of her brand-new album,\u00a0“Happier than Ever,”<\/strong>\u00a0the\u00a0Disney+<\/strong> original will feature an intimate performance of every song in the album’s sequential order \u2013 for the first and only time \u2013 from the stage of the legendary\u00a0Hollywood Bowl.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Directed by\u00a0Robert Rodriguez<\/strong>\u00a0and by Oscar-winner\u00a0Patrick Osborne<\/strong>\u00a0the special will also include animated elements, taking viewers on a dreamlike journey through Billie\u2019s hometown of Los Angeles and its most iconic backdrops. \u201cHappier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0features\u00a0FINNEAS<\/strong>, the\u00a0Los Angeles Children’s Chorus<\/strong>,\u00a0the\u00a0Los Angeles Philharmonic<\/strong>\u00a0conducted by Music & Artistic Director\u00a0Gustavo Dudamel,<\/strong> and world-renowned Brazilian guitarist,\u00a0Romero Lubambo<\/strong>,\u00a0with\u00a0Orchestra Arrangements by\u00a0David Campbell.<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cHappier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles<\/strong>\u201d was produced by\u00a0Interscope Films<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Darkroom Productions<\/strong>, in association with Nexus Studios<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Aron Levine Productions<\/strong>, with\u00a0Kerry Asmussen<\/strong>\u00a0as the Live Concert Director and\u00a0Pablo Berron<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>as Director of Photography.<\/p>\n

As seven-time GRAMMY\u00ae Award-winning artist\u00a0Billie Eilish<\/strong>\u00a0prepares for the July 30th, 2021 release of her highly anticipated sophomore album “Happier Than Ever,<\/strong>” the 19-year-old Los Angeles native remains one of the biggest stars to emerge in the 21st century. Eilish’s breakout album, “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S as well as 17 additional countries around the world upon release in 2019, and was the most-streamed album of that year. She later went on to make history that year as the youngest artist to receive nominations and wins in all the major categories at the 62nd GRAMMY\u00ae Awards. Most recently, she took home both Record of the Year for “everything i wanted,” and Best Song Written For Visual Media for “No Time To Die” at this year’s 63rd Annual GRAMMY\u00ae Awards. Eilish\u2019s forthcoming album \u2018Happier Than Ever\u2019 was written by Billie and her brother\u00a0FINNEAS,<\/strong>\u00a0who also produced the album.<\/p>\n

Writer\/Director\u00a0Robert Rodriguez<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>directed the action films \u201cDesperado\u201d\u00a0and \u201cFrom Dusk Til Dawn.\u201d Additional film credits include \u201cSin City,” \u201cAlita Battle\u00a0Angel,\u201d \u201cWe Can\u00a0Be Heroes,\u201d\u00a0and the “Spy Kids” films, all of which were produced at his Troublemaker Studios facility in Austin, Texas.<\/p>\n

Patrick Osborne<\/strong> is an American animator, screenwriter, and film director. In 2014 he won the Academy\u00ae for Best Animation Short Film for “Feast” his directorial debut and followed this up with the innovative Emmy\u00ae winning and Oscar-nominated VR short Pearl in 2017. He served as the animation director for ABC’s comedy series “Imaginary Mary.” Previous to that, Osborne was an animator for films such as Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Wreck-It-Ralph” and “Bolt.”<\/p>\n
