Jeff Goldblum is just one of those people who seems like he can do it all. He’s been in nearly 80 films and 40 televisions shows over his 40-year career. He’s also an Oscar-nominated director, an accomplished voiceover artist, and a Broadway actor. His jump to music seems only natural.<\/p>\n
Really, Goldblum has always at least dabbled in musicianship. Long before his t-rex days, 15-year-old Goldblum was a regular fixture at popular Pittsburgh cocktail lounges, playing piano for swanky patrons in the 1970s. After moving to New York City at 17 to pursue acting, he vowed that he would fall back on music in case his career didn’t take off. And although he’s had about as much success as an actor could have, he’s continued to play music on the side.<\/p>\n
Goldblum and his band, the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, host a weekly jazz variety show in Los Angeles’s Rockwell Table and Stage, where he often invites esteemed guest vocalists like Imelda May, Haley Reinhart, Sarah Silverman, and Till Br\u00f6nner.
