\u201cHesitations<\/strong><\/a>\u201d is the newest single from Dublin-based<\/strong> rockers Fangclub<\/strong>, and the first track of their upcoming second album. The act of gathering up all of your fear, paranoia, addiction, love, and despair being hurled into a microphone and ripping it out of a guitar is what Fangclub<\/strong> do best, and they’re back to show it.<\/p>\n

Frontman Steven King<\/strong> said of the song:<\/h3>\n

\u201c\u2018Hesitations<\/strong>\u2019 is the most ferocious song we\u2019ve written to date. It\u2019s a heavy hitter with a lot of massive riffs. Lyrically, songs are always open to interpretation, but we will say this, the verses are an inner voice or a devil on the shoulder and the choruses are the volcanic eruptions from deep within. Heavy shit. We know. Can\u2019t help it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The video for the song was filmed over 12 hours, with the band barely leaving the cramped confines of a glass box. Taking inspiration from the Japanese art-form of Kintsugi<\/strong> (The art of repairing objects and adding gold, or silver dust). Gold is always seen as such a coveted thing and in this video represents wealth and success, or more, how we constantly worry about obtaining these ideals and living up to social expectations. \u201cMost of the time we were trapped in this mirror box with extremely hot lights beaming down. It was the worst case scenario for 3 Irish dudes with goth pale skin,\u201d says Steven.<\/p>\n

As if that wasn\u2019t all \u2013 Fangclub<\/strong> have announced a string of dates across Europe and the UK<\/strong>, as well as the incredible news that they will be supporting Metallica<\/strong> when they perform here in Ireland at Slane<\/strong><\/a> this summer!<\/p>\n
