5 Most Memorable Andrea Bocelli Albums

Pulling on our heart strings with his beautiful voice, listening to this Tenor perform is a treat for the senses. He has performed solo to sold out arenas around the world and will continue to entertain us from the comforts of our homes.

We will be offering Andrea Bocelli a standing ovation from our living rooms this week when he performs live at Milan Cathedral next Sunday for Easter.

To get you in the mood we will reminisce on the 5 most memorable Andrea Bocelli albums.

Si Forever

A personal 16th album by the famous singer. In it he dedicates ‘Vivo’ to his wife and partners up with Ellie Goulding for a stunning duet called Return to Love. Dramatic Italian landscapes and an effortless Italian style grace every song on this album. This is only one of many celebrity appearances in the songs composed for the album. Jennifer Garner, Josh Groban and Ed Sheeran also get involved. The strings and piano provide a welcome connection with all of his previous hits. Have a listen to the tender lyrics in If Only featuring Dua Lipa.

Selling 20 million copies, this is the album that made Andrea Bocelli shine. Featuring that famous ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ with Sarah Brightman, this track truly solidified his presence in the world of music. Although a trained tenor, Bocelli made his mark in the pop world with this album. Caruso, Con Te Partiro and Vivere are arrangements made to resonate with the general public. As the name suggests, Bocelli delivers a romantic vision time and time again with the songs in this album and we can almost smell the roses hanging from the old Italian balconies as he sings.

Verdi – Aida

For this album we see Bocelli work with Soprano Kristin Lewis. The ancient Italian opera perfectly showcases Bocelli’s voice. Through stunning performances we are led through the love story of Aida and Radames. O Terra, Addio’ is one of the most striking songs on the album, a duet between two opera giants. He received praise for his rendition of Aida and deserved every bit of credit here.

Bringing beautifully written songs to life is Bocellis speciality. Incorporating epic songs like Maria from West Side Story and Moon River from Breakfast at Tiffany’s he was able to showcase the diversity of his voice while all pleasing his audience. This album is the perfect combination of classical and pop music. Listeners around the world will have their own memories associated with each song in this album and this is what makes his versions so endearing. Both soothing and uplifting, It is the perfect background music for any occasion.

One Night in Central Park

This is one of our all time favourite albums based upon his concert of 60,000 people in Central Park, New York in 2011. Pop icons such as Celine Dion and Tony Bennett joined Bocelli on stage to wow the crowd and perform some of the most loved songs in his repertoire. The Prayer with Celion Dion, Amazing Grace and New York, New York are just a few of the hits we are treated to.

With a voice that commands attention and aligns so eloquently with some of the world’s most renowned orchestral pieces it is no wonder that Andrea Bocelli has taken the music world by storm.

We can’t wait to see the world’s most loved tenor sell out the 3Arena again in the near future but for now we will keep listening to these beautiful albums and watch him on Sunday April 12th from the comforts of our living rooms.
