With her quirky style and distinctive voice, Lady Gaga loves to churn out songs that entertain the masses.

After she shot to fame with her debut single ‘Just Dance’ she was on a roll. This week she has released Stupid Love, a song that reminds us of her electro-pop ballads. She returns to her core message of love yourself for who you are. This one will definitely get your feet on the dancefloor. 

With the most-watched Superbowl of all time and 6 Grammys Lady Gaga has had an epic musical journey to date. She rocked to fame in 2008 with her debut album The Fame and since then her catchy tunes and sing-a-long lyrics have transcended borders, empowering crowds across the world.

There is no better place to start then the sing-a-long tune of Bad Romance. This one got us all on the dancefloor. Gaga’s “little monsters” aka her fanbase were hooked at this point. The styling in the video captured the minds of fashionistas around the world. If you’re looking for an example of a catchy Gaga song then look no further. With its memorable chorus Poker face climbed to number one all around the world and was an unstoppable force. This is the definition of an addictive song. Once you play it once, it sticks in your head. We see powerful women and a futuristic style crop up in this one, which continues to be a feature of her videos to date. Plus, it is packed full of dance moves that are pretty easy to mimic for your next big night on the town.


The techno beat made Paparazzi a massive summer hit and keeps it fresh to this day. The eight-minute video for this song was leaked in advance of its release which helped to build the anticipation for the real launch. Continuing to use mini-films to tell her lyrical stories through video, we see an action-packed thriller where Gaga is thrown from a balcony to her death. Gaga’s unique style and many outfit changes in this one make the video iconic in terms of style. It is easy to see why it was nominated for 5 awards at the MTV video music awards.

Gaga is using her voice again here to focus on one message and that is that we are being bombarded by technology. Originally rejected by Britney Spears, Gaga recorded her version featuring Beyonce for the Fame Monster in 2008. The video told in the form of a short story was an instant hit. The powerful duo received a Grammy nomination for their performance.


Back to her girl power ways, Gaga uses the pop song of Alejandro, to break poor Alejandro’s heart. This is both a dance floor tune and a statement love song. This one created a scene with its video and if it’s one thing that Gaga knows how to do well, it is create a buzz around her music and style. It even led to the Guardian writing a piece about how many groups were offended by it. 


In ‘A Star is Born’ we see Gaga transform into a leading lady beside her co-star Bradley Cooper. In the remake of this classic movie we are mesmerized by Gaga’s natural voice. Up until now we saw her as a pop diva, with Shallow, she was transformed into a lyrical queen. The vulnerability in the story mixed with the melodic chords show off every aspect of her talent.

It is safe to say that Lady Gaga has won the hearts and imagination of the younger generation. Her captivating performances and catchy tunes will always hold a special place in our hearts.
