5 Artists for any Mammy

A very Happy Mothers Day to all of the wonderful women who make the world go round. Mother's Day is a day that mums around the world deserve to chill out, relax, put up their feet and enjoy listening to some of their best-loved songs.

If you are reading this as a son or daughter and buying some last minute Mothers Day pressies then why not treat your special mammy to an album from her favourite artist.

With that in mind we have come up with a list of 5 artists for any Mammy. These are popular artists that never go out of fashion.

5 Artists for any Mammy

Niall Horan

A familiar sight on the pop news scene, Niall Horan has recently released his second solo album, Heartbreak Weather.  This is surely any mother’s dream son-in-law but he also has a cheeky smile to keep the ladies guessing.

Niall rocked to fame with his famous bandmates in One Direction but has carved out a name all for himself. Good old Niall has been keeping us entertained with some of his hits on Instagram during these turbulent days. We fell in love with Nialls down-to-earth attitude and we know that any girl who gets to bring Niall home to their Mammy will be thrilled.

Take That

First up is Take That. This boy band crosses all demographics and fits into any stage of life. As well as keeping us entertained with live duets during the Coronavirus Gary Barlow has written and performed some of the most iconic pop songs with his fellow band members. As one of the most successful boy bands of all time, their pop ballads will never go out of fashion. Relight My Fire, Back for Good and Never Forget are just three Take That classics sure to brighten any mothers day.

Westlife

Nicky, Mark, Shane and Kian are four icons in Ireland and around the world. They seem to have a song for every occasion. Just last year they played to over 160,000 fans in two epic nights at Croke Park Stadium. To sell out stadiums after years away from the limelight is no easy feat but these boys are unforgettable and will always hold a special place in our homes. If you weren’t one of the lucky ones to secure a ticket to the gigs last year, we have some great news. Westlife are releasing the DVD of their 20th anniversary concert this week. Pick up a copy of Twenty Twenty as the perfect gift for mum.

Ronan Keating

With his unique country sound and strong Irish accent Ronan has captured many hearts over the years. After 25 years together and with over 25 million in sales Boyzone decided to call it quits in 2018. However Ronan had already carved out a successful solo career for himself. Now he is back in the limelight with his album Twenty Twenty, featuring a wonderful array of singers and musicians, including: Shania Twain, Robbie Williams and Ed Sheeran. He plans to tour this album later this year. Ronan has teamed up with the super talented, Emeli Sandé for a romantic ballad called ‘One of a Kind’ which has already racked up over 300,000 views on YouTube.

Shawn Mendes

With his boy next door looks and sweet sounding voice, the Canadian singer, song-writer Shawn Mendes is definitely one to bring home to your parents. He shot to fame with pop hits like Treat You Better and Illuminate in 2016. Since then he has gone on to sell out arenas and team up with some of the biggest names in pop, including: Hailee Seinfield and Camilla Cabello. Before this he was posting cover songs to Vine. With his innocent smile and down to earth style mums around the world would be glad to find Shawn at their doorstep.

This Mothers Day why not use music to lift the spirit. For something a little bit different treat your mum to the gift of song
