Today, Dublin DJ Jazzy has hit #1 in the Official Irish singles chart with her debut single “Giving Me”, the first female Irish Artist to hit #1 in 14 years. After spending six weeks in the Top 10 in the singles chart, “Giving Me” climbs one place to claim this week’s biggest song in Ireland, denying Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding’s Miracle (2) an 8th week at the top of the chart.
As announced last week, Jazzy is also the first Irish Female Artist to hit #1 on the Spotify Ireland Top 50 Chart since the streaming service was launched in Ireland in 2012. It also continues to hold the #1 spot across the Irish Homegrown chart, Shazam and Soundcloud.
“Giving Me” has been streamed in Ireland over 2.2 million times and is certified PLATINUM.
Jazzy is set to perform a headline show at Dublin’s Academy Theatre on June 2nd. Tickets available now through www.theacademydublin.ie She is also due to perform at One Day Festival Live at the Marquee, Cork on June 24th and at Longitude Festival, Dublin on July 1st.
