The incredible Lyra has wowed the nation with her performance of her latest track ‘New Day’ on this week’s Late Late Show over on RTE One.
Appearing in a flowing, floral dress, surrounded on stage by flowers to make the Botanic Gardens envious. Lyra showed Ireland why we’ve been so mad about her for so long. Performing her latest song, ‘New Day’, which was released recently – Lyra’s message that all troubles come to an end, and each day is a new chance to start afresh. An especially poignant message for 2020, in a world rocked by social injustice, climate damage, and the effects of COVID-19. A message of hope a nation sorely needed.
Following her performance, the Corkonian sat down with Ryan Tubridy to chat about her career so far, the meteoric rise in her success lately, and the message behind her latest song.
