Released on July 20th, the sequel to the beloved jukebox musical rom-com has already grossed $282.9 million. It’s hard to gauge whether fans love the sweet story, the slick one-liners, or the ABBA hits that carry it along. Probably a mix of all three.

The star-studded cast sing and dance to songs like “Dancing Queen,” “I Have a Dream,” and “Fernando,” while exploring the backstory of Meryl Streep’s iconic Donna Sheridan. So far, fans and critics alike find that, just like the original film, the sequel is silly and fun in the most refreshingly self-aware way.
